Getting started
How do I record a workflow?
Install the demodummy Chrome extension from Settings → Extension, open the tab you want to record, click the extension and press Start recording. When you press Finish, the walkthrough is built and added to your project automatically.
Can I use a video I already recorded?
Yes. Open a project and click Import video next to Tutorials. We pull the screens out of your file, build the walkthrough and drop you into the editor ready to add narration.
Do I need the extension again after an update?
Only when we change the extension itself. Most improvements happen in the app, so your installed extension keeps working.
Editing and voiceover
How do I add an AI voiceover?
Open the walkthrough and use the quick dock (or press Ctrl/Cmd + K) then choose Add the voiceover. You can preview voices, narrate every step at once, or record step by step in the Voiceover Studio.
A name is pronounced wrongly. Can I fix it?
Yes — open the Pronunciation vault from the quick dock and add the word with the way it should sound. Every future narration uses it.
Can I hide sensitive information?
Yes. Add a blur box on any step and resize it over the part you want hidden. Blur is baked into the exported video and the shared walkthrough.
How long is the pause between steps?
Two seconds by default. Change it in Settings → Player, anywhere from none to six seconds.
Sharing and exporting
How do I share a walkthrough?
Publish it and you get a public link plus an embed snippet you can paste into your site, docs or help centre.
What can I export?
A narrated MP4 at 720p, 1080p or 4K, and a written guide as Markdown or a printable PDF. Written guides are free and use no credits.
Why does my video have a demodummy badge?
Free workspaces carry a small badge on videos and embeds. It disappears on any paid plan.
Plans, credits and billing
What does the free plan include?
Five walkthroughs, 1 GB of storage, exports up to 1080p and a small badge on free videos and embeds.
What uses credits?
AI actions such as narration and AI commands. Recording, editing, publishing and written guides are free. You always see the cost and your balance before anything is charged.
What if an AI action fails?
The reserved credits go straight back to your balance.
How do I cancel?
Go to Plans & credits → Manage subscription. Your plan runs to the end of the billing period, then the workspace moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted.
Account and privacy
How do I sign in?
With a magic link sent to your email address, or with Google. There is no password to remember.
Who can see my walkthroughs?
Only the people in your workspace, until you publish. Published walkthroughs are visible to anyone with the link.
How do I add a teammate?
Settings → Members, then invite them by email and choose their role.
